The tree-lined, unpaved street that is now Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, and the farmland from the school's Agricultural Division, where Harrison Rhodes Hall, Gross Science Hall, Moore Gymnasium and other buildings now stand, is shown on the far right. This photo was taken when Bethune-Cookman Universty was known as the Daytona Normal and Industrial School for Girls. Large palm and oak trees can be seen in the image. Parade down First Street, Sanford, Florida
Black and white photograph of a parade going down First Street. On either side of the street are the businesses of downtown Sanford. The third building at the left side of the image is the Hotchkiss Building (1877). On the sides of the street, spectators are gathered to watch the parade. Hanging over the middle of the street is a sign that says, "Howard-Packard Company". Horse-drawn buggies, decorated patriotically, along with marching people, can be seen down the middle of the street. Some of the buildings have American flags hanging from them. At the right of the image is a building with an advertisement for "Woodruff and Watson", as well as an advertisement for "Wrigley's Spearmint Pepsin Gum."

The parade consists of automobiles, some of which have people seated in them and are decorated with American flags.
