Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity
A black and white photograph of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity dressed in tuxedoes and prepared for a ball on campus. The group is composed of African American men who are all wearing tuxedoes and bowties. Some are wearing boutinnieres. Four of the men are wearing white tuxedo jackets; the rest are wearing black jackets. The decorations include crepe paper hanging from the ceiling, as well as balloons and palm trees line the floor. President Richard V. Moore is the sixth person standing from the left, and Dr. Texas Adams, the college physician, is the first man standing on the right of the image. Arthur Decatur, baseball player for the Jacksonville Tarpons
Black-and-white photograph of baseball player Arthur Decatur. He is standing in front of a wooden fence in his baseball uniform with his arms crossed. The letter "J" can be seen on his hat, the initial for the Jacksonville Tarpons baseball team.; Arthur Decatur played for Sanford and Jacksonville in 1916, and went on to play in the majors, for Brooklyn. Banquet for Senior Class
A black and white image of the interior of Faith Hall, which has been decorated for a banquet honoring the graduating class of 1961. On the far wall of the interior room in Faith Hall can be see a large palladian-style window, with three divisions, the center window being much larger than the other two and arched at the top. Sunlight is shining through. On both sides of the window is a painted wall mural, which appears to be a scene from a European city with streets, buildings, and cafes. In front of this wall is long banquet table (probably the head table for faculty and administrators), with a large flower arrangement at its center. Behind the table stands a podium with the letters "BCC" printed on its front. Three elongated tables are standing perpendicular to the head table. They each are covered in a white tablecloth, with place settings including a spoon, knife, a cup, and a napkin. At each setting there appears to be a small booklet for the guest. The tables also have a placard that reads "Senior Class-- 1961." Small flower arrangements are spaced evenly atop these tables. There are also eight four-person tables in addition to the three elongated tables. They are decorated in the same style as the elongated tables. On the back of the photograph is written in pencil "Faith Hall cafeteria with tables prepared." There is also written in blue ink, "Adamsfoto," but the meaning of this cannot be determined.
