The "Giant's Footprint," two adjacent craters foreshortened by oblique viewing of the south polar cap of Mars. The sun is 8° above the local horizon off to the northwest (upper left). These craters can be seen in the previous wide-angle picture 19 (M7-112). This high resolution picture shows an area approximately 85 x 200 miles in dimension located about 75° south latitude.
