This is the last of a series of three wide-angle views of the Hellespontus and Hellas regions of Mars. This picture shows the barren, bleak, craterless floor of Hellas as seen through the red filter. The two large dots are due to defects on the rear face of the vidicon tube. The picture covers an area of approximately 400 by 550 miles.
