Photo Description
KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. This composite illustrates the location of cracks on S-IVB (second stage) interstage reaction beams of the Skylab 4 rocket. Mission officials, after careful evaluation, determined these cracks would not interfere with the launch of astronauts Gerald P. Carr, Dr. Edward G. Gibson, and William R. Pogue to the orbiting space station.
