Description/Abstract
Often, students, especially undergraduates, assume that academic research is something sterile, abstract and unique to graduate students locked away in ivory towers, pursuing advanced degrees. This workshop will demonstrate that academic research can be meaningful, practical and most importantly, fun. Studying an academic interest can involve students in understanding not only a particular topic, but more importantly, how their individual passions can guide their own personal journey towards self-understanding. This will be an interactive session complete with handouts and group discussion.
