Description/Abstract
This presentation highlights the research component of the BS in American Sign Language/English Interpreting at the University of North Florida, in which students are required to take Applied Research in Interpreting. As part of this course in 2009, students could supplement the course by studying in translation libraries at the University of Vienna and University of Graz, Austria. In these libraries, students accessed comprehensive databases that made their literature searches much less complicated and more comprehensive. Students also met with key translation/interpretation researchers for feedback on their research designs. Topics and research designs of these projects will be presented.
