The University of Central Florida, invites faculty, administrators, and professional staff to participate in a two-day symposium that focuses on strengthening and developing undergraduate research. For 10 years, the Florida Statewide Symposium was hosted by UCF on its main campus in Orlando, Florida. Beginning in 2018, the Florida Statewide Symposium will rotate to other Florida campuses during even years, while returning to the UCF campus for odd years. All of Florida’s public and private four-year universities and state colleges are invited to participate in the 12th annual event, October 25-26 at the University of Central Florida.
The 2019 Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Susan Singer, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost of Rollins College. Dr. Singer is a Professor in the Department of Biology and has previously served as the Director for the Division of Undergraduate Education at the National Science Foundation where she coordinated 14 Federal agencies in implementing the undergraduate strategic objectives of the first Federal STEM Education 5-Year Strategic Plan.
