Strategy Description
Utilizing the Zoom Polling feature is an efficient way to establish check-ins and provide students with active learning opportunities. Follow-up discussions regarding polling results can be applied to alter or shift instructional approaches. This strategy increases student engagement and learning in online or remote courses.
About the Author
Ashley Salter is an Instructional Designer at the University of Central Florida. Her focus is intensively on developing and testing active learning strategies specific to online or blended learning environments. Ashley’s goal is to share new tools and techniques to keep students motivated and engaged, enhancing student learning outcomes.
Alyssa Albrecht is an Instructional Designer at the University of Central Florida. Her research interests include quality assurance practices in online learning and incorporating active learning techniques into online and blended courses.
