Postcard of Elizabeth Hall, Stetson University looking from the south. A hand written note on the back reads "Elizabeth Hall. The small octagonal building housed the pump which supplied water for the campus before DeLand had city water. The water was pumped to a tank which stood in the tower of Elizabeth Hall. [The] trees are orange trees which were later killed by the freeze."

Postcard of Elizabeth Hall, Stetson University. A handwritten note reads "Elizabeth Hall before the trees in the Forest Arden were planted. The little octagonal building housed thepump which pumped water to [the] tank in [the] tower of Elizabeth Hall until city water was brought to DeLand." Another handwritten note, apparently by the original purchaser, reads "this is the principal one of the buildings. We have our class rooms, museums of geology, nat. history, zoology, etc, in here. Also we have the chapel endowed by Mr. Stetson with an immense and beautiful organ..."

Preliminary plans for St. Luke's 1993 Sanctuary c.1989
Three glimpses of earliest plans for the construction of a new sanctuary for St. Luke's Lutheran Church exist in the church archives. Blueprints for exterior elevations, for a site plan and for details of the baptistery planned for the new narthex appear here. The plans were altered, to some degree, before construction actually began in 1991. The completed facility was dedicated on November 20, 1993. Architect for the project was Jose Barbosa (Figbar Associates) and site work was prepared by Jewett Engineers, Inc.

The cover and a page listing the name of worship service officiants in the printed program for the dedication of the newly built facility for St. Luke's Lutheran Church. November 14, 1993.The 16 page program included liturgies and hymns for the "Dedicatory Service of Thanksgiving" held at 10am on this 24th Sunday of Pentecost, as well as for the "Festival Service of Praise," held at 3pm on the same day, with a concert preceding the service at 2:30pm. Rev. Dr. Wilbert J. Fields served as the preacher at the 10 am service, assisted by Officiant: Rev. E.J. Rossow and Lector: Rev. Daniel Estok, Crucifer:Stephen Gillet, and Acolyte: Michael Rose. Preacher at the 3pm Festival Service was Pastor Rossow, assisted by Liturgist: Rev. Daniel Estok and Lector: Rev. Thomas R. Zehnder, Crucifer: Vicar Stephen Gillet and Acolyte: Stephen Hrncir. Organist and choir director for both services was Miss Ruth Wiedenmann; Mr. Scott Baumer directed St. Luke's Church Orchestra and Brass Choir. Following the afternoon service, tours of the new building were conducted and a reception was held in Founders Hall.
