St. Luke's School Exterior, c. 1954-55
Originally constructed in 1949, with one wing of classrooms and an auditorium, St. Luke's Lutheran School was expanded with an additional wing of classrooms in 1954-55, to accommodate the growing enrollment.

St. Luke's Senior Church Choir and Pastor Tuhy, Palm Sunday, 1961
Pastor Stephen M. Tuhy was an accomplished musician who not only sang with the Bach choir in Winter Park, but directed St. Luke's choir himself for many years. In this photo he poses with more than twenty adult choir members following the festive service on Palm Sunday, 1961. The following year, he suffered a heart attack and Judy Duda (black and white skirt,to left of Rev. Tuhy) became the Choir Director (and an organist) for the church.Under her leadership, the choir presented an annual Christmas concert for several years. Pastor Tuhy succumbed to a second, fatal heart attack on Dec. 26, 1967. The 1968 Christmas Concert was dedicated to his memory and a record album ("Beside Thy Manger") was produced as a memorial, as well. St. Luke's Youth Group, c. 1946
A group of St. Luke's Youth works on a mailing of literature for the new Lutheran Haven in 1946. They are meeting in the wooden structure that had served as the congregation's church until a brick sanctuary was erected in 1939. The old two-manual hand-pumped reed organ with a pedal keyboard can be seen at the upper left of the photo. It had once been purchased for the sum of $10 for the wooden church and shortly after this photo was taken, it was sold for the same amount! The float is decorated in aluminum, and four African American women in white dresses sit on top, waving to the crowd.
