Abstract
Between the Lines tells the story of Lotus, a college student living with undetectable HIV and learning to balance his newfound romance and best friend. I hope this film serves as a lesson for people not to prioritize a romantic partner over the strong bonds they already have with friends and family. I have noticed many people push away their friends to stay with their partners, and when that relationship ultimately fails, they go crawling back to their friends as if nothing had happened. Over the course of my time at UCF, I finished with 105 scenes, 96 pages, 30 days of principal production, and a feature film. The following document will serve as a guide to help the reader understand my thoughts, decisions, fears, and hopes throughout the production process.
