Photo Description
The large dark region on the right is the Syrtis Major, the so-called "Great Spot." The upper right is the region of the Deltoton Sinus and the east end of the Sabaeus Sinus. Many craters can be seen, particularly striking is the enormous double crater in the lower right quadrant. The diameter of the outer rim of this figure is 400 kilometers (240 statute miles). A grid of black reference dots and some electronic noise remain to be removed by further computer processing.
