Abstract

With college tuition and the cost of living rising, many students find themselves in the position of having to be employed while trying to attend classes. This study examines the effects that employment has on college students' academic achievement and other possible factors that might have contributed.

About the Author

Lauren Watanabe is a Sociology major with a minor in Criminal Justice at the University of Central Florida. She will graduate in summer of 2005. Lauren has completed two research projects within the RAMP program. In the future Lauren hopes to obtain either a state or federal job within the criminal justice system with the hope of conducting research.
