Description/Abstract
The support of undergraduates in research goes beyond matching students with faculty mentors and providing funding for their projects. Well-developed programs offer holistic support of students involved in research through professional development activities. This can be an overwhelming endeavor, especially for smaller offices of undergraduate research and for those whose director balances administrative and teaching tasks. It is important to remember that your institution is a community dedicated to student success. It is likely that other offices on your campus offer events and programming appropriate for undergraduates in research. During this interactive workshop, we will learn from each other and explore the different ways in which offices of undergraduate research can work with campus partners at their institutions to foster an environment of undergraduate student success through research.
