Description
Most discussions on chatbots in education emphasize the underlying technology, often overlooking their pedagogical potential. We present a pedagogical framework for designing chatbots as tools for real-time student interaction. By leveraging structured prompts, tailored questions, and adaptive responses, chatbots can be utilized to foster critical thinking, individualized learning, and engagement. This approach shifts the focus from technology to learning design, showcasing how instructors can create meaningful interactions that complement traditional teaching methods. Through examples such as the Intuition Bot, this work illustrates how chatbots can enhance decision-making skills and facilitate deeper understanding in educational settings.
