Description

Simulations are a proven learning and assessment method but have historically been complex and time consuming to create. This has stunted Instructional design as a profession because, in most instances, IDs aren't really designing - just adding and rearranging very basic elements, like furniture movers shifting a coach or a chair around different parts of a room. AI assistants allow the work to achieve a level of sophistication it has traditionally lacked. This session will explore one example of AI Assisted simulation creation and illustrate the possibilities now available to instructional designers to create artifacts that actually merit the word design.
