Proposal Type
Workshop
Location
Hypertexts & Fictions
Start Date
July 2026
End Date

Abstract
In this collaborative workshop participants will be introduced to wikis as a place for Electronic Literature. They will learn how to edit Wikipedia and its sister project Wikibooks. Then they will dive in to collaboratively edit the Peeragogy Handbook on Wikibooks.
Peeragogy is an approach to learning and working together on projects ranging from the mundane to the monumental. Peer learning and peer production are probably as old as humanity itself, but they take on new importance in our digital age.
We will end with an editathon where attendees will have the chance to share their own experiences with peeragogy in the latest version on Wikibooks! It is the chance for all attendees to gain credit as a co-author and help the world learn from their wisdom.
